real food WAS tasty! (in the home women were still proud of their home-making skills for example).
'paraguay' is intended as a personal satire, to defuse any notions of the singers la-di-da theme (somewhat stretching the zeitgeist as it was, in the now, back then) - a simulated pompous hyperbole type thing (and a dig at bobby d. which they all regularly enjoyed doing - bob once said that robin's october song 'was good', somewhat of an understatement:)
